"I’ve learnt so much about myself, and the space we had in those calls was really something magical! You lead us like a boss (a kind, empathic boss at that)! I’ll definitely treasure these moments."

Christine Chamoun
"You bring such a beautiful and understanding space for women of all kinds to feel safe. I did and shared things I would have never done but I knew I was in such a safe space that it was possible for me to. You made me feel seen Tessa."

Amanda Hill
"Tessa has a way of making everyone feel at home so even if you're nervous, you can trust that you will be at ease in no time. There is absolutely no pressure on you.. it's all about your unique self expression."

Alex Tuechler
"I felt incredibly safe & held by both Tessa & the beautiful women in the group, it’s truly beautiful to be surrounded by strong & vulnerable women on a similar journey".
"Rising Minds has helped me to understand the importance of sitting with my feelings and not suppressing them, the importance of slowing down the pace of life sometimes and how this can be such a nice gift we can give ourselves. Tessa has been the most wonderful guide throughout the course. The way she listens and creates a safe and supportive environment for women is a beautiful thing. The course has so much valuable content and I’ve learnt many tools to help care for my mental health. It has supported me to instil some new habits into my life that have really helped me with my mental health and overall health in general. The best thing about Rising Minds is you take it all at your own pace, you get to meet some amazing women (virtually) and you feel so empowered by listening and sharing your journeys together! Thank-you again Tessa!"

Hey there, here's a little bit about me..
I got here by gently doing the work. I got here by slowly starting my journey, and being in that journey through the light and darkness. I got here by knowing that although this mental health journey can be so tough; so am I. And this toughness, this strength and grit that accompanies me through it all, is derived from the gentle, heart open softness that is self devotion to the journey.
My experience with mental health isn’t just an experience for me. It’s also for you. So that I can be with you openly. So that I can sit with you, with compassion and empathy. So that I can hold space for you and listen. So that I can empower you with the tools that I have gathered along this long road, so that you can spark a light where it seems like it’s always darkness. So I can be with you and not feel ashamed or fearful. And so that I can remind you that there’s nothing to be ashamed or fearful of.
My name is Tessa, gorgeous one. And I know how it feels to to put on a happy face so that no one knows, feel alone, hide away, repeat the same patterns over and over and feel misunderstood. I know how that feels and I know that without your sunshine and rainbows that you are still worthy of love, connection and acceptance. And I know what it’s like to be surrounded by people who don't understand, no matter how much they try. I know what that feels like and I know the impact that it has. That’s why I’m diving deep and creating a movement that not only holds space for you, but will empower you in self knowing, self acceptance and self empowerment.
I trained to be an Occupational Therapist over a five year year period, which showed me in an intensive way, how to empower people with tools for their well being. I chose to take the mental health Occupational Therapy road because of how often I have observed and how deeply I learnt, that mental health impacts absolutely everything. Five days a week it’s my role to look at all facets of a person’s life to see what brings them joy, meaning and hope. It’s also my role to support them and empower them, with practical tools that will allow them to access that joy, meaning and hope.
I studied art therapy + psychotherapy because I wanted to empower my clients to journey within their mind, to “be with” and learn from their emotions, and to integrate creativity into their life as a wellbeing tool. Psychotherapy training allows me to lay the groundwork for my client’s empowerment journey, by encouraging them to self enquire and to safely sit with what they’re experiencing in their whole being.
This combination of training and work experience, as well as my ongoing management of my own mental health, has shown me the importance of self enquiry and knowing, as well as having grounded practical tools for managing factors of mental health in every day life.

"I've felt the world shift since starting Rising Minds. I have noticed my ability and felt supported to delve deeper; I’ve found the start of the path. Prior to this I was lost in the woods, with low cloud, walking in circles, with a complete inability to find the path to walk on. I don’t want to get to the end of the path, I know I never will, and I am happy to veer down various branches. But to just be on the path, the relief and joy, to have found the ability to source the answers. The clouds have lifted, the sun is shining, I can see the path a head of me, and I am ready for the adventure."

"Since participating in Rising Minds, I have noticed years worth of mental fog (created by being swept up in the healthcare system) finally start to dissipate. Rising Minds provided me with the tools I needed to take a deep dive inward, discovering not only what brings me great joy, but also what triggers the darker days. I now acknowledge important aspects of my personality and I am able to mitigate once confusing or uncontrollable feelings. As a result, I feel as though I have taken back control of both my mental and physical health.
What a wonderful gift this program is. Thank you, Tessa."
